WIP Wednesday

And for my first WIP Wednesday, a confession and an audit - I'm polywiparous, I have several items on the go, thought I usually have two or three that I'm focused on.

At the moment, I'm working on my 5th Lakes in a bright yellow stripe.  Second confession: I'm really not happy with how it's turning out, but part of that is how much I've hyped it up to myself.

I've been running through yellow yarns of all shapes and sizes, including purchasing multiple lot samples to find *the right shade*, and even now I thought I had - I'm still not happy.  It feels dull, a little boring.  I've been working on this for months - knitting and unpicking and reknitting and now I've committed.  I'm ribbing, two sleeves and a collar away from completion and even if it only ends up in a cupboard, I'll have learnt something.  That something is that yellow is not my colour.

My second Big Wip is my Sonja Sweater by Petite Knit.  I will be posting that completed review quite soon, I've knit it up in Drops Air and both the pattern and the yarn have meant it's come together quickly.  I have two sleeves (potentially short) left, and then I'm done.  This has been a relaxing Bus Knit, 8/10 (pointed ducked for yarn feel as you knit, it's just not as nice as a sturdy wool aran afaic.

My other two pressure WIPs are a present and a surprise for someone and I can't say much until they're completed and given away, but they're going to be the priority as we have a 'any day now' deadline.

THOSE LEFT BEHIND

My poor neglected back burner WIPs, sit alone, hidden in their dust bags, propping up the new yarn I just bought that I didn't need:

A 6th Lakes in Aquamarine.

A 7th Lakes in Coco.

Two Wool and the Gang lace jumpers which I started and then wasn't too sure about, that I am now very sure about.

A summer strappy t shirt

A tunisian crochet top

A green spring pattern jumper - a project that I hope to put out to test knit in Novemberish

A Mackeral/Plaice Raglan.

The 2nd of my 3 part 80s themed jumpers which will be the death of me.

A pair of modified socks which I hope to share the pattern for, for those of us with huge insteps.

I typed this up in hopes to inspire to finish things up, but...

And a bright orange Autumn jumper which I have run out of yarn for.
